Management For the first year, Uzupis Theatre Company will comprise mainly of contracted talent, Producing Artistic Director Brandon Deyette and Managing Director Kyle Collins. The primary employee is the founder, Brandon Deyette, who will oversee each production, find appropriate talent, financials, donations, grants and planning all events. The Managing Director, Kyle Collins, will oversee marketing, advertising, press releases, event planning, public relations as well as assisting the Producing Artistic Director in artistic decisions. We will use independent contractors for directors, actors, stage managers, costumers, technical crew, and other necessary people in order to effectively and efficiently operate a theatre. We will also have a Board in order to make all executive decisions for the company. Once we have established ourselves, we then seek to add on an In-House Playwright who will provide at least one script per season as well as assist in picking appropriate scripts for the theatre to produce, an Intern and Education Director, who will handle our touring, outreach and intern programs, and a Box Office Manager who will manage concessions and ticket sales. As we grow we will add new personal depending upon necessity. Goals Athens is known for its ability to cultivate new music and other arts, but leaves much to be desired in fostering superior theatre. Užupis Theatre Company will deliver this and focus on the following objectives: 1. Provide quality, professional and educational entertainment to the Athens-Clarke County Community. 2. Employ both new local talent (directors, actors, tech crew, et cetera) and existing professionals from around the Southeast to create a professional work environment suited for artists who make theatre their careers. 3. Promote artistic, creative and social expression through the medium of theatre. 4. Partner with larger professional theatres within the state of Georgia to enhance the exposure of professional theatre, as a whole, and share relevant resources. 5. Serve as an informational and educational tool for local schools and the community-at-large by providing informational sessions, symposiums, and materials before, after, and during the plays on subjects discussed in the plays. 6. Draw visitors to the Athens-Clarke County area, increasing tourism and encouraging overnight stays to see the performances and take part in the local culture.
